[ Those things are hard to control, especially when the world that takes them in has absolute power. Ishtar didn't like it when the people she cared about started leaving either. It was a hard thing to adjust to and accept, given that she's unable to count the number of disappeared people on her fingers. It just meant that there were too many of them to count. ]

Doesn't matter if I can physically do it or not. I'll always try to leave something for you. I'm not a great fighter or anything but I have things I know that can help you when I'm gone... if that day ever comes. I hope it doesn't.

[ Honestly, there are so many ways that she wanted to protect people and it didn't always work out the way she wants it to of course but she didn't know what was the right way to answer this question, though. ]

[Even without the influence of what was going on, it was still a hard concept for Takeru to understand. Just knowing that people could come and go so easily was hard enough but knowing that people he cared about could just...disappear?

[ Ishtar understand since she's been in his position so many times. He's also much younger so it's a lot harder for him to accept these kinds of cruel things. She can't blame him for wanting to reject them. She can't imagine how horrible it is for a boy to watch his friends and family leave him behind. ]

I know sweetie. I hate it too. I don't want anyone to leave or anyone being hurt.

[ She could hear it, and she's going throw her arms around him and hug him if he allows it. ]

[This time, Takeru didn't say anything. Instead, he found himself slowly crying even more. With Ishtar's arms around him, that's when he started to choke on a sob.

He just didn't want to be alone, he just can't even stand the mere thought of it. As he wrapped his arms around her, that's when he couldn't take it anymore.

From there, that's when he started crying]

[ Ishtar enclosed her arms around him a bit more, tightening her grasp on the not so small boy. She understood how he felt without having to ask him. She had experienced it all and there was nothing she could say to change or fix how he felt. He was allowed and should be allowed to feel the way he did. It was a scary experience either way.

Her hand gently pats him on the head and slowly on his back-- small gentle warming pats. She rested her chin on top of his head as he started to cry ]

It's alright, Takeru, I'll be here. I'll be here for as long as you need. So please.
