will be dreaming. Her dream will bring her back to a mesh of Pheliosta, her home and Rezenia, another place along the borderline along the Pheliostan country. At first, it will be like walking in a fairy tale like world, streets filled with cheerful children, singing and dancing and meadows filled with the fragrance of blooming flowers. However, the closer they get to the Pheliostan castle, the more dangerous it would appear to be. Shadows lurking behind the vegetation that surrounds the castle, and glowing eyes of nightly creatures. These creatures will either be zombie like vampires who are mindless and only seek to fulfill their mission, or low level vampires who float around with wings on their back. They're non friendly and they're out to kill for a meal. The castle's charms keeps it out, so once you're inside the Pheliostan castle, you're safe.
However, the castle will be distorted into cellars that contain monsters of every kind trapped behind cages and screaming and clawing for their release. They're not harmless and they do not know human language. Amongst other things, the castle will have plenty of safe zones, but they twist and turn into images of blood and death. It will have a cold and unhappy feeling. In short, this will be a mix up of what Ishtar's last memories in her world was like. The castle of Rezenia and her cousin's death, followed by the vampires that originally haunt the hallways of the Mill Seii castle. Though this will all only take place in the specific location of Pheliosta itself, just mixed into it because of Ishtar's memories.
It's quite a dangerous world so I'd say be prepared to fight off some monsters from her dreams.
---
So let's break this dream scape description into actual levels. It will mostly appear like a fairy tale like world with a lot of different things you could see from a fairy tale story book. So, horses, carriages, streets filled with people dressed in old style clothing is the best part.
Pheliosta is not the beginning of the dream. You will wake up in the middle of a
meadow filled with
rainbow coloured flowers with pleasant scents. At least, until they started to wither and you see
Ishtar's silhouette running into the forest following a transparent image of a boy. Within in the forest you get to meet the wonderful lurkers of it. They're not friendly and they sure as hell would love to take a bit or two out of you. They're
vampires and they're more
servant level vampires with little magic so they won't do much more than fly around you and try to lure you to them. The distinctive difference between low class vampires and stronger vampires is the
wings on the lower vampires' backs. The stronger ones don't have wings and they look one hundred percent human minus their alluring beauty and glowing eyes of red and purples. It depends on which vampire as well. They'll haunt you and won't vanish until you hit the next level.
Which happens to be the village like setting.
Children being taken down for stealing bread for their families, and villages eying you suspiciously as you wander down their way. The people are almost pleasant and the stores consist of many businesses including the strong smell of bread and the putrid smell of the butchery. You continue through the village to meet the large castle grounds. within the castle grounds, you'll be met with many more vampires that lurked outside the walls of the castle. These vampires are low level and have no use other than to be undead assassins. The castle wards keeps them out and if anyone were to accidentally destroy those interesting
legsaram designs on the walls and such, then these little hellions will be able to enter the castle and feed on its prey. They are
ancient assassins that lurk outside of the castle because they cannot enter it. If there are no means of entry, they simply hang by the walls and away from the charms that the castle has. They are simply the easiest of the vampires to be destroyed.
The
Pheliostan Castle appears to be a large structure lined with many buildings and towers. They intertwine and connect a different levels. One can get lost in it without knowing their way around the castle. Don't worry though, if you ask a servant or two they might gladly lead you to a specific location as long as you don't appear suspicious. If you appear suspicious, there might be random soldiers or knights trying to get you to leave. Unless you request or schedule an appointment with the princess, you can't really wander around the castle, but if you can catch the silhouette of Ishtar running around with her guards chasing her,
the girl might teach you a trick or two about playing hooky in the castle and stealing food from the kitchen.
One wrong turn from the Pheliostan Castle, and you'll end up in
the cellars. These cellars don't appear to be part of the overall castle itself. It seems like they were muddled together at the last moment. These cellars smell of rotting flesh and decay.
The metal bars are cold to the feel and monsters of all kinds are slamming against them, shouting in words you can't understand. The monsters were captured and treated as objects for experiments. You'll catch Ishtar standing in the corner, dressed as a man staring off into space while trying to explain the situation to the monsters. If you don't try something right away, she might end up letting those terrible things loose and you might end up trying to fight for your life. Well, if you have the magic to stop these creatures. It seems like Holy Magic is the only thing that works, but don't worry, there's a strange
red haired teen that stands to the other side of the dungeon and maybe, just maybe he'll give you a hand depending on what your move is.
Ishtar will eventually vanish from the place if you don't keep track of her long enough. Good luck chasing the princess down again. She won't stay in one place for long.
When you leave the cellars, you find yourself in a place that isn't quite the Pheliostan Castle anymore. These walls were different, with different linings and decorations. It seems that it lacks the legsaram charms and the ruelles that seemed to guard the Pheliostan Castle. This place is part of Mill Seii and its floors are haunted by many ghostly figures of vampires. They might be powerful or not, you do not know but these creatures have no wings and they float about minding their own business. You might get a glimpse of a
young man with brown hair and blue eyes, short in stature but emitted a dark aura that would make anyone's body chill slightly. He doesn't seem to care about your existence but he likes to keep the company of vampires and ghostly figures alike. It seems like these monsters are waiting for something but you don't know. It's better to run along and leave this specific area before the vampires decide they think you're interesting and play with you.
These things of course are easier to kill than high level vampires. They're
ghostly figures that
haunt the place with abilities a little stronger than the winged vampires that you saw in the forest. They don't seem to care for the existence of strangers but don't touch their host, it might be a bad idea. Ishtar's voice will be heard screaming somewhere down the hall. You don't know which one but there's definitely a door that you will find.
The last
location is a castle where it is impenetrable by vampire or monster means (Unless you are deemed a high level enough monster or vampire to pass through without being reduced to dust or water. Even so, it will weaken you to some extent.) It is covered in charms completely and
screamed holy everywhere you walked. There's a loud exploding sound and it seems like someone whispered to you that it is a
'Death Detonation,' meaning that there is a fight going on and there is a possibility of death happening. Before you even get a chance to react, the
explosion continues and a
room is lit with a huge magical force. You then hear Ishtar's strangled cry from somewhere, followed by a blood curdling curse. You don't know what's going on but it's best to find the
hysterical girl before she bloodies the room with her anger. You will probably make a break for the Rezenian castle and realize when you make it to the room, that there is a mess everywhere. The bed is overturned and the floors were destroyed with spells.
There's a body of a man curled on the floor, not breathing. His silver hair matted against his face and blood trickled down his mouth as he breathed his last. The King of Rezenia was standing over him with a sword, and Ishtar's form was already there holding onto the dead figure. The smell of blood and rotting flesh can be picked up. Ishtar screams bloody murder, accusing the man with the sword of killing her cousin. Ishtar won't let it go so easily, so it's best to make a decision whether you should invade this situation or not. In the end if you make it through all of this, the scene will change one last time. The scene is a
large tower, surrounded by
vampires who seem to have no power in this tower. Its charms can turn a simple monster to dust and water monsters to puddles of water. These giggling things seem to be pointing to a door that seems to be locked and filled with even more charms on the outside. It seems like Ishtar is up against the wall with the body of another unfamiliar man not so far from her.
If you pull open the door, the dream will end there. There is nothing else you can see from here, but there has to be some help. Maybe you need Ishtar to tell you something, or maybe you need that vampire over in the corner to help you undo the enchantment on the door. Either way, you'll get your answers and the dream will end there if you make it this far.
