[ That already brought concern to her when he stiffened up. Ishtar tilted her head to the side and looked up at him straight in the eyes. ]

Hey, what's with the silence? You're making me nervous.

[ She paused a moment before adding. ]

No hiding things remember?

[ She gave him a small smile. ]

Why... didn't you....

[ His words trail off as her eyes steal his thoughts with their steady gaze. If he'd known, then what? What would he have done? What would he have-- ]

... You should have said something.

...I didn't think that it was the right time... for it you know?

[ Kind of giving him privacy but not since she didn't know exactly how to deal with it. ]

You should have woken me up.

[ She replied looking the other way. She didn't know that he was thinking about the whole ordeal while she was trying to figure out what to say. ]

[ He watches her look away. ]

[ She'd already said it wasn't the right time. ]

...I don't know...just-- I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say here.

[ Well she sort of said two contrasting things didn't she. It took her a moment to grasp her thoughts again ]

You don't have to keep it to yourself you know?

[ as much as she wants to breeze over the topic, she's aware how serious it is. Especially when she could hear someone she didn't usually hear cry like that. The sounds weren't loud but with a quiet apartment and the rest of the world sleeping, it was hard to avoid. ]

[ He's quiet for a long moment before there's a hand on top of her head. ]

I could say the same thing to you.

[ He tells her as he looks up, straight ahead. ]

It's okay to cry you know? There's nothing wrong with it. It must have been a huge shock to you when it happened to me, I'm sure. It probably wasn't pleasant. I'm sorry that I disappeared on you a lot lately.

[ They're both pretty bad at this aren't they? She just hugs him some more since they were already stuck in the position for a while. ]

Yeah I wasn't sure how to well, you know react to all of it.

[ He grows quiet, leaving that first sentence alone and instead replies to the second. ]

You don't need to apologize for that. [ His eyes fall back to her. ] You didn't do anything.

[ Subject avoiding again. She's going to sigh at it but whenever he's ready she supposed. Arguing about the whole matter in general wasn't going to do either of them good since they were both bull headed. Ishtar wanted to press the matter but she was sure he needed time to recollect his thoughts or whatever. Of course, she didn't want to get him angry after what happened to her whether it was within her power or not. ]

I know... but you know.

[ Which makes no sense but Ishtar Logic. She's not really going to take it back. ]

[ Okay they've been on the floor of the kitchen for a while and well she sure hopes whatever he's making it's not burnt. ]

I'm mostly sorry for jumping on you like that... and taking the bed...

[ There's a brief chuckle from her. ]

[ He puts a hand on her shoulder, letting it linger for a moment. ]

It's fine. I already wiped the drool off last night.

[ With that he gets up pulling her with him to get her off the cold floor and sets her back on her feet. ]

That pet of yours stole half of your portion, so you're only getting two crepes.

[ she just tries to make things as less awkward as possible since this must be a really strange welcoming back party ish. ]

I didn't drool!

[ She protested as he said that. ]

D-Didn't you leave the room anyway?

[ Whoops, well cat's totally out of the bag with how long she was awake. Slowly, she pulled herself up as he helped her up with him. ]

Aw, that's mean. I'm super hungry! Especially after the freaking vacation the game gave us!

[leashed_hunter]

I came back to check on you.

[ He tells her as he stirs the food in the pan. He won't get into it further considering he spent most of that night checking up on her when his mind got the better of him and convinced him it was all just a dream. ]

...Wait--you did?

[ that's totally not creepy at all but who's asking right? Ishtar furrowed her brows as she peeks from behind him since she couldn't really do it over his shoulder since she was so short.

Ishtar didn't press the matter anymore than needed for now. Answers can come later.

Her animals were rubbing at her feet, though Pico was still fighting with wanting to use Zero's hair as its nest. ]

[ He doesn't look at her as he speaks. ]

I didn't know if you'd be there.

[ It's the best she'll pull out of him. ]

[ Ishtar tilts her head to the side as he continues to avoid her gaze. ]

Oh, you big lug. You missed me didn't you?

[ That's fine with her as pokes his side some. Commencing teasing Zero go! ]

[ And as she continues to poke at his side, he pushes her hand away. ]

Will you stop that.

That's what you're implying though isn't it?

[ She replied still poking his side chuckling. ]

[ He's going to try and ignore that damn finger. ]

There's nothing to admit.

[ She's going to ignore him ignoring the finger for a moment. ]

Oh, is that so? I don't believe you.

[ Eventually she stops and just hugs his waist. ]

Still, thanks for caring. You can deny it forever but I know what you mean~

[ She chuckled. ]

[ He should be used to her random hugs by now but this one still catches him off guard. ]

Don't be an idiot.

[ He grumbles beneath his breath even as he lets her be. ]

[ He should be but that's not something she expected him to get used to. ]

[ She retorts as the two of them would probably continue their bickering for a long while. ]
