[ Honestly, right now? She's not sure. Ishtar could only look at the hand that rested on her shoulder for a moment. ]
...
I don't-- this is way to sudden. Sometimes I feel like I'm being selfish, like what more could this spoiled princess want? She has everything you know?
[ Except that's a lie in all its glory. ] Yet, I never really asked for those things. Maybe I just want to run away, never go back and not be responsible. I've always wanted to be normal...just a simple person, with a name, no titles, no riches, just a simple....person....maybe like right now.
No one knows about my lineage, and no one treats me any different. It's one of the few things that I like about you, Zero. You don't change the way you treat me, even though you know about my past. Hahha, I don't even know where I'm getting at anymore.
I guess you're right, but I'm always causing trouble for you.
[ She nodded her head as he shoulder was squeezed ]
Of course I know that but I think about it like that sometimes you know? It always kind of sits in the back of my mind but I know it won't change a damn thing. It won't do me good to run away, but hey, maybe it's better that way, so I don't have to keep hurting people without trying to.
It's too dangerous to look for food at night. We have enough to last us till morning.
[At least, he does. He planned to look for others come morning and had stocked up on supplies, enough to last him a day but now that he'd found them he put aside his original plans. Instead, he walked over to the campfire he'd built earlier but never started when he found himself being watched by those things. But now that it wasn't only him, he had to re-think his strategy in dealing with them. He didn't need light to keep warm, or to see in the dark, but they did. Without a world, Zero picked up two stones and crouched in front of the sticks and other fuel he'd gathered earlier. Once he was in front of it, he flicked the two stones against each other creating a spark that soon caught light on the kindling.]
[ Ishtar bit back a huge laugh from her lips for a moment before she doubled over and hysterically laughing. ]
Gr-Grumpy B-bear hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaah
[ This would go on for a good few minutes as Ishtar was busting her sides laughing with tears rolling down her eyes for a moment. ]
Oh my god, Takeru that's gold! He is like a big grumpy ol' bear!!
[ And she's going to keep laughing until she's calmed down enough to be a bit more serious but there's a huge grin tugging at the corner of her mouth as she replied to Zero. ]
Are you sure you're not a giant fluffy grumpy bear cuz it sure as hell sounds it right now!
[ before nodding her head at Zero. ]
... Yeah that's too dangerous right now. I don't have anything on me but you can have my share if you need to, Takeru. It's safer to not go anywhere right now.
[ She was in an agreement with Zero on that regard because their safety mattered the most in the unknown plains. Ishtar tried her best to scope things out quietly as she said that. So far, she didn't see anything potentially dangerous lurking yet, but she turned to Zero and see what she could do to help the other male get things started, like a fire. ]
[ There's maybe a soft smile tugging at her lips. ]
Not at all. I think it's better for me to help you out. You're always doing everything on your own and you never ask for help. Someone's gotta keep pushing you somehow. I can't always let you do the work you know.
[ She replied with sort of frowning pout when he rested his hand o her head. ]
You don't know that for a fact, Zero.
[ There's almost a sad tone to her words. Not hurting anyone. Well, how could she explain what she had done under the influence of Facility to him? She wasn't as clean as he seemed to think she was. ]
Oh well then I should take advantage of this opportunity then!
[ She chimed with a laugh from her lips. She was such a nice person and Ishtar was grateful to have met such a friendly person. She even offered Ishtar a ride on flying! ]
Alright, like this?
[ She replied reaching over to take Nanoa's hand. ]
[Meanwhile, here the younger boy was! Just looking back at Ishtar and then back at Zero having no idea if what he said was a good thing or not. While the older girl was laughing, the other seemed anything but.
Getting mixed signals here, guys!]
Um...okay then? He doesn't seem really happy to be called a grumpy bear though! I didn't mean to hurt Zero's feelings and I'm sorry if it did! I didn't know it would!
[And there goes his big fat mouth just saying things so bluntly without realizing it. However, that happy moment had to wait though. As the younger boy looked back at the both of them once more, he couldn't help but nod.]
No, it's okay! I don't want you to get hungry! And besides, I think making a fire is more important right?
[He said with a smile before walking over to Zero and grabbing a couple of sticks here and there]
Might this help? I know that if you keep moving the wood around, it might make the fire bigger!
[There are no mixed signals! It's that idiot that's that's laughing when she should be running! Just keep on laughing Ishtar, just wait till he throws you in the lake next time. Then, we'll see how long you laugh!!!]
[A muted sigh as he drops his hand from her head, seeing that frown.]
Yes, I do.
[The solemn tone has him looking at her more closely. He'd known her long enough to know she'd never hurt anyone if she could help it because at her core, she was a --]
[ Ishtar was taken back by the amazing scenery she was getting from them being in the air and towards the cloud cover. She had a bright smile on her face and her eyes were almost sparkling at the scenery. ]'
Whoa, you can do telepathy?!!
[ She was so surprised by the voice in her head. ]
I'll keep that in mind.
[ Well this turned out to be very exciting for Ishtar! ]
[ Ishtar was well aware of Zero's nature as being rather mean to others, including herself, but it didn't stop her from making fun of Zero. Hell, it only made her want to mess with him even more. Of course, poor Takeru was in the middle of their little tiff, and he had no idea if she was playing around or if Zero was really serious or not. ]
No, he's just reacting the way he always does to everything. He's not mad. I can promise you that much, right Zero? Don't make such a face. You'll frighten the boy!
[ She replied teasingly at the other. ] The fire is definitely more important. Let me help out as well.
[ She replied making her way over to them as they were working on gathering sticks and such to start the fire. Ishtar was fine at being thrown in the lake as long as she gets fished out and Zero wasn't trying to drown her daily. ]
Hey! It's funny. It's not my fault you have a sour look on your face sometimes!
[ She pointed out with a shrug of her shoulders. ]
Hahah, let's not burn the jungle. The last thing we need is angry things on us.
[ Ishtar laughed almost a bit bitterly. She just hugged him again. Ah, maybe this conversation was too much for someone with blood loss, because she was getting terribly dizzy, maybe a bit drowsy on that part. ]
You're always saying things like this, even though you know I've got a lot hidden from you. Even now.
[ Admittedly, she wasn't too afraid to tell him those things right now. Maybe, it was better to tell him the truth and help her get better somehow. Ishtar didn't fully believe that but talking to Zero it helped get rid of a large amount of weight on her chest. ]
...Haha, I wonder how many people I hurt while healing.....
[And here, the poor boy just happened to look at Ishtar and then back at Zero. He wasn't exactly too sure what was going on but if they were still happy with each other in the end, then everything was okay? That and he was just happy to hear Zero wasn't mad at him!]
Don't worry, Zero doesn't scare me! I've seen a lot of evil Digimon before so I think he'll have to do a lot more to frighten me!
[At least Zero wasn't a giant 10 foot vampire Digimon who wanted to destroy all of Tokyo. But while Ishtar was getting the firewood, Takeru kept staring at the fire as he started to move them around.
As he listened to Ishtar teasing Zero, all the boy could do was smile at them.]
You know, you two remind me a lot of my brother and Taichi-san! They always fought all the time but...what's that word again? They bicker a lot?
It's not difficult. It was one of the first things I learned, actually!
[ Magic works differently on every world, it seems! ]
We wouldn't be able to communicate while dogfighting without it! Can you imagine shouting over this wind?
[ Even with her barriers quietly shielding them from the worst of it, it would really be impossible. Plus, the small problem of them moving faster than sound.
